Salem fiber is experiencing a rare system wide outage. Our Internet bandwidth provider had the fiber that feeds Salem hit. Our crews are assisting them to get our service back online ASAP. We expect the service to be restored before 8 AM today (8/16/2024)

We post when we can find the time but all communication will be through our website pages and forum. Please try to understand that we are extremely busy when we are in the middle of an outage and have limited staff in the middle of the night. I understand your frustration and we try to communicate as soon as reasonable.
We have all kinds of redundant links internal to our network and we have been getting close to adding an additional provider link but transport from our edges to our headend has been limited. We are preparing for southern growth from Spanish Fork to match our northern growth and we will implement a redundant headend at the ballfield fiber hut.

I spent a good 3min wondering if I misconfigured something in my home network as I was making changes after everyone went to bed.
Redundancy options should be considered. Might not be practical yet, but worth a look.
We post in the forum as soon as we can find the time and have information to share. You should receive an email when we post. As you can imagine, we have been very busy! but I understand the importance of letting our customers know the situation.
